- face attacked by his best four-legged friend
- spinning head-first into large pieces of furniture while trying to stand unassisted
- inheriting his mother's highly visible reaction to mosquito bites
- tanning from the wrists down
- crawling out of bed
- mysterious nose injury involving a kitchen playset
- sitting too close to his mother while she was doing the New York Times Sunday crossword in fine-point Sharpie
