I’m trying to get over the stabs of pain caused by my children being away for the next ten days by thinking of ways to enjoy this solo time. So far I’ve come up with:
1. Reading
2. Watching movies
3. Sleeping soundly all night
4. Not having to set an example with my diet (read: Cool Ranch Doritos for dinner)
5. Yoga
6. Reading
7. Going to (free!) shows (yay Shell season!)
8. Naps
9. Reading
10. Maybe even working on a fiction contest entry
Any other suggestions?

I always like to detail clean the house when I miss my kids. :-)
When I read #4, I had a vivid image of you and your Thursday night popcorn dinners.... :)
I love going to movies and restaurants by myself. Since you're hoping for doritos maybe you could just eat in the convenience store.
And a massage. A massage is always good.
The Doritos are a good idea, but the last time I got a massage in a convenience store it didn't go so well. I don't recommend it.
This might expose how not cool I am, but I really would clean the house. At least I would turn the music up REALLY loud while I do it though!
