And they say Minnesotan talk funny.....
We've also been discussing how to say "research." Is it reee-search or ruh-search? Is that a Southern thing, or does it depend on what part of speech you are using?Sadly, Connor says die- rections instead of directions. He's such a redneck!
Dictionary.com lists about 5different pronunciations for research, so everyone's got a claim.Miss M actually says thee-ay-ter for theater. I have no earthly idea where she picked that up.
Is it not supposed to be pronounced thee- ay- ter? I might know where she picked that up. . .
Have you been watching Hee Haw? Because I do not personally know anyone who says Teevee. I also say umBRELla.
The list was created from live, local, diploma-carrying examples.
I can totally hear my aunt speaking.
